Colour Therapy

Abbey Dempster

Colour Therapy – March 7th – April 4th

Colour therapy is a selection of works that reflect Abbey’s passion of bright, clashing colours and intuitive abstract designs.

A large amount of the works exhibited were created after Abbey suffered a heart attack in 2015 and rekindled her love of painting during her ten week recovery, forming the title of the exhibition.

Each piece is an expression of Abbey’s bubbly personality and ever-evolving eccentric style (all of which are available for purchase throughout the exhibition).

Also attached is the image to use for my promotional poster. The print is called “Raspberry Drops.”

About the Artist:-

Abbey Dempster is a Geelong based artist gaining inspiration from travel, florals and everyday life to create vibrant abstract artworks using acrylics, watercolours and pastels.

Growing up with a love of all the arts, Abbey spent her teenage years performing as a vocalist in the Sweethearts band, however put this passion aside to pursue a degree in Paramedicine. It was after becoming ill in 2015 that Abbey rekindled her love of painting, which has become another extension of her artistic career.

Abbey dedicates her weekends to experimenting with colour and pattern to create the range of products displayed at her first solo exhibition, Colour Therapy.
