MAIN GALLERY EXHIBITION
OPENING: Friday September 20th 6.00PM-8.00PM
Running until the 18th of October.

***’But It Makes Me Happy’ runs alongside Jemma Cakebread’s exhibition ‘Rotten Things’

‘But it makes me happy’ is a collection of works to make YOU happy. The thought process behind the work is to inspire creativity and to brighten up someones day, even if for a moment.

Using bright and bold colours and imagery in a mix of mediums to draw you in and make you want to touch.

There’s nostalgia, the blanket your nanna would drape over you, the small toy that was placed in your crib, handmade and kind of funny looking, sitting in art class, using every colour available from the pallet. You don’t need to give up these things, nor should you.

Zoe Boyd is a Geelong based Creative, usually crafting under the label ‘Esther and Howl’ who uses crochet as a way to stay sane. She studied Graphic design at the Gordon TAFE in 2012 and now teaches crochet, takes art and craft workshops for young people in her free time.
