The Courthouse ARI are a group of insanely talented Geelong emerging artists who collaborate in bringing together some cool projects. 

Vanessa Conte

Vanessa Conte is a mixed media abstract artist, exploring colour and mark-making. She completed an Advanced Diploma of Visual Arts at RMIT, which benefited her greatly! Now she is an emerging artist creating on her own terms and taking each day as it comes. Vanessa is enthused by colour, mixed media, layering, text and the pure spontaneity of making abstract art

Joshua Maxwell de Hoog

Joshua Maxwell de Hoog is a Geelong-based artist, writer and musician, and co-founder of Analogue Academy and lowercase poetry. Josh has exhibited in solo and group shows at Courthouse, was our visual arts intern in 2018, and continues to collaborate with us on projects and workshops - a true Courthouse alumni!

Miranda Jarvis

Miranda Jarvis is a multi-disciplinary artist from the Otways of Victoria, now based in Geelong. Miranda utilises the mediums of paint, the written word, textiles and photography to explore heritage, identity and place.

Jess Walters

Jess Walters is contemporary artist currently based in Geelong, following the completion of her Bachelor of Visual Arts. Thoughtfully, she creates bodies of work with a strong conceptual basis striving to stir deep thought and initiate important conversation.

Sarah Lewar

Sarah Lewar is an emerging Geelong artist with a keen interest in visuals arts and photography. Sarah is an avid Courthouse alumni.

Pascalle Bailey

Pascalle Bailey is a Torquay-based artist who is currently studying Art Curation and History at Monash University. Specialising in ink and fineliner studies, Pascalle explores the mediative quality art-making brings through these mediums, as well as the visual contrast of artistic techniques. As a former visual arts intern at CHYA, Pascalle places an emphasis on the process and curation of works.

Jess Costa

Jessica Costa is a multi-faceted artist who works with a range of mediums com- prising of painting, drawing, photography as well as embellished textiles. Her art practice draws inspiration from her Italian heritage, where delving into her cultural interactions physically and emotionally enhances her understanding of the self and sense of purpose.
